Halloween Fun!!!!

Here are my ATC's for the Scrapbox! Mailed also a few days ago one of them to Catherine and will prep a few more this w-end to have them ready for futur swaps!!!! :) Love to make them! It's a few hours (if you do almost 20) but love the "chain work" wile creating them! I made them directly on a playing card (oup's forgot to take that side of the ATC) and used Crackle Paint by Tim Holtz, Inks, Making Memories Acrylic Stamps, Bazzill scallops stripes, Heidi Swapp Jet Bling and the glitter foams also by Making Memories!

Halloween is a big thing where I work! Every department dresses up and selects a theme and almost all the employees dresses up! it's amazing all the energy that "WE" big kids put in decorating also our cubicles! A few years ago we were even featured on CTV during the lunch segment! Here's a few pics that i wanted to share.....
The full customer service center decorated and we had our lights closed from 10 am to noon when all the other departments came and visited!
Me (in red) with Dustin one of my colleagues - our them was Haunted House
General Manager and Executive assistant - Wizard of Oz
Finance - Toy Land (imagine a group of 25 in crazy costumes.... enven one as a Care Bear!)
HR girls - Famous Movies
Customer services reps - The Witch's Lair
Safety Group - wow a real "blow up" pumpkin that takes up half of the hallway and a full cubicle! They were dressed like a Creepy Country fair - AMAZING!
Happy Halloween and enjoy your w-end!

A busy w-end and a beginning of the week too!

Las t w-end we had the pleasure to host the 1st charity event at the store and we had lots of fun!
Magali, Maxime and Loic came from MTL to enjoy the w-end and the event with us, Maxime being also a Star Wars fan!

Loic is even featured as the top photo on Jenn weekly news letter! Thanks Jenn!

Saturday night we introduce to our visitors the "Works" and they loved it! MMMMmmmmm I had my ritual chicken Kraft diner bacon sandwich and is was so yummy! Then we went home to enjoy Iron Man! The girls napped at the end of the movie, but what a great moviw it is! Sunday was a day of shopping to find gifts for my sister's upcoming baby Sebastiano. She is due this w-end and we decided to send her a shipment of LOVE and baby necessities. She didn't have a shower and we went all out. I need to mail the box now.... we had a plan to give the goodies to Magali's brother in law that was going to Milan for a business trip but now he can't bring the gifts. I will see with Audrey if she can help out! (just got a flash!)

Then Sunday night after our visitors left, I enjoyed a nap and was itching to create and completed my second page with the "Offbeat" collection from Basic Grey. What a cute picture of Loic and I really love the colors of this collection!

Magali came down for meetings in Gatineau since Monday afternon (yes... she left Sunday night with her family and came back Monday arround 4pm.... we could have better planned it for her to simply stay here Sunday.....) and we enjoyed our 2 last evenings together to finish packing and preparing little cards for my sister's baby shower from Canada! 3 outfits (1 camo from Stephane), 5 pj's, little "Habs" Canadian hockey slippers, soft baby blankets, bibs, 8 paires of socks, baby caps, 3 summer onesies, the full bath necessities..... I truly hope that she will be happy as we are so far to be there with them to celebrate the birth of my first nephew.

Well tonight a few things on my list, speaking of lists.... I am every day making my "TO DO" list and it works perfectly for me! I feel less overwhelmed with all I need to do and more in control! So Halloween ATC's and finish the kits at the store for my Sonoma class of tomorrow. Tomorrow teaching, Friday ATC swap and enjoying a nice evening with Stephane. Saturday it's the 1st official day of hunting....

Enjoy your Wednesday!

Big hugs

Glitz and Glam!

The 3 of us got together Saturday night for a night of pure fun!
Katie got lost on her way to the meeting point and Laurie and me went and rescue her in Hull at the Casino, not sure how she made it there...!

We started our night at the restaurant Milestones in the market - Amazing food!!! See pictures bellow! Then ended up at one of my colleagues Kenji Private Club(members only) and I was lucky enough to get us in! We had a fabulous time and enjoyed the most delectable drinks ever...but the one that was our favorite was the Caramel Candy Apple Martini (see recipe bellow)!

We finished up our evening at the hotel for a night of giggle and girl talk!

Mine
Katie's
Laurie's
And for you special Drink lovers.... here is the recipe for the
Caramel Candy Apple Martini!

1 oz Vodka
1/2 oz Butterscotch Schnapps
1 oz Sour Apple Liqueur
1 oz Cranberry Juice (if desired!)

Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake firmly and pour into a cocktail glass. Serve.
What a amazing girl drink!!!! Like Katie said like Magic on your tongue! It starts with the flavor of the apples and then it's all about the Butterscotch! What a perfect combination! We dance and giggle, it was a perfect night! A special Thanks to Kenji for being a wonderfull host!
Have a great week!
Make sure to watch Rogers TV Chanel 22 in Ottawa, today either at 11ham, 3, 5 or 11pm~!

The Scrapbox's First Annual Halloween Charity Event

scr
At the Store, on Sat Oct 25 starting at 12pm up to 6pm!
The 501st Legion (aka Star Wars Bad Guys in costume!) have volunteered their time and specialized props and equipment to help raise funds for a very special cause "Scrapping with Cancer" at The Scrapbox Studio!

We here at The Scrapbox would like to invite you to come on down and support us in our efforts to give children afflicted with cancer a way to deal with the difficult journey back to full health!

So they have agreed to join us from noon until 6pm in our own Scrapbox Studio to have their picture taken with any and all who wish it for a small fee. These fees will be given in its entirety to 'Scrappin with Cancer'. Neither the 501st, nor The Scrapbox, will be receiving any of the "picture taking funds" collected during this event. All will be forwarded to Brody and to creating his Scrapbooking Kits.
There are many ways you can join in on this very fun event and support us on Sat, Oct 25. Please read on for more info or call us at 613-745-2215. We would be happy to answer your questions.

Thank you!
