Pink Art Journal - part 1

I am participating in a Sketchbook circle with some friends and got my self a 3" X 5" Moleskine to do the swap. Yesterday after a day of organizing (Stephane was gone ice fishing with a friend) I needed a creative output... To jump start my creativity and get the flow started for the swap, here's a couple of pages I made in my book. I had a basket of freshly organized embellishments, pink acrylic paint & crackle paint and some gel medium. Here's what I made in a couple of hours. Oh so fun to create without photos.... and in this smaller size!

About 3 hours of work.... not too bad - no rules, just art...

Now the reality is that I will be going to chapters to get my self a second Moleskine to send for the swap.... I don't' think I can detach myself from my first Art Journal.

Ohhhh and I made a real beautiful layout for my second layout class of February over the weekend. Teals, greens and greys perfect for boys or girls - I had fun playing with the Vagabond Friday night at Saturday at the store to make it. Store update!

Here's the fruit of my labor over the weekend! I made 5 of each: main album kit, candy tag (mix brads, buttons & paper clips), ribbon tag, mix paper add-on and sweet paper embellishments. I had so much fun and even made some sales prior of having them posted. I need to finish figuring shipping, therefore come back tomorrow to find the links of where to purchase them! A general picture of all the items I prepared Each release will be different in colors, theme... some I will have examples... this one it will only be a product release. Wishing you a beautiful Friday

This is by far the highest Mountain top that I have ever been on “Mont Sibillini” near my sister’s village in Italy. I felt on top of the world, closer to God… the fresh air was amazing, beautiful sunny day (ok you can’t really see it with this black & white picture). My Brother, sister and I were reunited (many years since we were just the 3 of us). When I look at the picture… I remember to Live life to the fullest & to seize the moment.

My 2011 word

What better way to introduce my word by sharing my layout about it. Took me a little wile to figure it out but was always going back to that word... OR'GANI∙ZE" in: ... my head ... my body ... my time ... and the "physical" space, basically what surrounds me either at home or at work.

Purging will be one major aspect to get there, all ready started last week no more VCR tapes or deck tapes - one big bag to the curb. We got a new unit for all our DVD's and CD's much better all organized by category, feels good. Now many others steps to achieve!

Was talking to Katie about it at the crop and it's a tangible word, you see results (better than my past ones Balance for 2009 and Action for 2010). Happy about that!

Any tips, pass them on!

Desktop or Wall calendar – the image is the “desktop placement” and it is displayed at the store as a wall calendar and a vertical 5” X 7” can be added. What I love of this project is that at each month there is a special saying at the bottom Wednesday Jan 19th 6 to 9pm - cost $38/$33 for members

Saying goodbye to 2010

Writing this I can’t believe that we are all ready day 5 of 2011 (I wanted to do this since the past week but it just didn’t happen due to the big "TIME" factor!) The holidays were great! When I was putting my “out of office” at my job, I was kinda dreaming and hoping to also put it on my "day to day LIFE". To just do want I wanted to do, spend quality time with Stephane and my family, to really Rest & Relax, put the “creating” aspect on my life on hold…. Well it really happened. YES it did. Here’s a little recap! I pretty much didn’t open my computer (just quickly looked from my phone on emails & a few blogs, therefore sorry if I didn’t reply yet to an email, getting to them now…). I played DS with Stephane many many hours, spend time with my family in New Brunswick – My grand-maman is turning 90 in a couple of weeks so it was great spending Xmas there with my parents, brother and my extended family. The drive was horrible going and coming back, traveling to NB in winter what can you expect! ( almost 15 hours coming back when it's normally 12...) Had a great time on the 31st at Magali, Maxim and Loic for new years (if one day you plan to do the full meal of little hot M&M finger type food for 12 adults – PLAN they aren’t all the same temperature or baking time in the oven – it was a nightmare; but the chocolate fondue desert was heaven!) Didn’t take one photo * ZERO *… now it’s heavier on my conscience of keeping those memories on photo paper and for scrapbooking purposes… But I really wanted to put "it" on hold…. So I need to accept the consequences now!) Back to reality now, day #2 at the job, created some classes since the past week (see following post), thinking of my word of the year since December 30 (I think I have it now…) and happy happy happy that Friday I will be cropping at the “Box” with my girl Katie, Theresa and miss Lorrie (that’s the Scrapbox for those that don’t know and there is a tone of space call and join us 613.745.2215). Saturday a first "Girlz" reunion with Loulou, Linda O & Dawn with drinks, food, Scraps & much fun I am sure! Can’t say goodbye to 2010 without a couple of Highlights Little Sophie’s birth on the 10th of January and that I am the Godmother, My Trip to Italy to visit my sister and her family (traveling with my brother was really great), 6 days in Orlando Celebration V with Stephane (living the full Star Wars fantasy + Disney) & with Mag, Max & Lolo, Taking great workshops with Tim Holtz, Debbie Schuh & Melissa Frances, Teaching & Cropping at the Scrapbox, Creating custom Necklaces (can’t wait to do more…), actually itching to do some right now.... maybe Saturday ;) Well that’s it for now!
