Friday June 17th FREE Make & Take at The Scrapbox!

This month the Free Make & Take will be hosted by ME! I hope you will give yourself the opportunity to try something new - all it will take is a wee bit of your time (really - maybe 15 minutes!)

So this is how it works...ANYTIME between 5pm and 8pm you can drop in to do the Make & Take. You don't have to sign up, you don't have to be here exactly at 5pm, just come when you can in the evening.

Did I mention that it was Free? Yuppers! Don't have to bring any tools with you. Just bring your open creative mind!

Turn this plain Kraft shopping back into a chic Gift Bag that will have people asking where you got such an amazing thing! Very simple, easy steps and all in the cool AC comfort of the Scrapbox Studio!

We will be using Adirondack Pigment Inks, Tim Holtz Distress Stains and Ranger Perfect Pearls Mists... I am sure you have heard of them, now come and play with them! Love them!

See you tonight!

A weekend with Donna Downey

2 weeks ago The Scrapbox was hosting an event with Donna Downey. What a weekend! 2 days in her marvelous compagny! Great to see her again and we pretty much pick up where we were 2 years ago.

We went to the airport to pick her up, had lunch at The works, then a store visit, prepping the venue, Friday Album's Class and diner at East Side after. Mellisa was spending the weekend at my place, so was great to go back home and chat about our day. The following morning came way to quick for me {insert about 4h30 of sleep}, made a couple of errands in the morning and had our 2 Saturday classes. Diner & drinks at Lone Star to finish our weekend and what a hoot it was! We kinda advised that it was "Mari-Jo" birthday {aka Donna} and the staff gave her the full birthday treatment! It was pass "Cinderella time" when we left the restaurant and got to hang with Donna until the weeeeeeee hours of the morning chatting and reconnecting. Special times and until we meet again! I really hope to go to her studio the next time!

Once my projects are finished.... I'll post pictures!

Notes to you...

Happy Tuesday! What's new with you? The above statement will be my mantra for the week! What is yours? Nothing creative to show today, but I am fully engaged in the process. I had and will have some busy days ahead...but will remember the above to get me there! This past Saturday we had the Scrapbox on "wheels" for the crop at Renfrew. To pack up the final items we had to be at the store at 6h45 and came back at 9h30 {it makes for a very long day}. Sunday my "A" team Tammy and Loulou came and helped me organize my crafts areas for almost 9h {thank you... Thank YOU ladies}. Last night I worked on my February Album class with the Sweetness collection from Pink Paislee (see upcoming newsletter from Jenn with a little peek), then actual sample will follow at store Thursday. Tonight working on the Peace Keeper receipt holder sample for the Debby Schuh event we are hosting in March * click on link for more details *. It will be a great event for sure! Tomorrow finishing the above creative projects and Thursday teaching the repeat class for the All About Me (I think 2 or 3 spots left, if you wish to join call us at the store 613.745.2215). Friday & Weekend no plans yet, however I am sure it will involve quality time with my sweetheart Stephane. Enjoy your week! Hugs Stéphanie xo

The Scrapbox's First Annual Halloween Charity Event

scr
At the Store, on Sat Oct 25 starting at 12pm up to 6pm!
The 501st Legion (aka Star Wars Bad Guys in costume!) have volunteered their time and specialized props and equipment to help raise funds for a very special cause "Scrapping with Cancer" at The Scrapbox Studio!

We here at The Scrapbox would like to invite you to come on down and support us in our efforts to give children afflicted with cancer a way to deal with the difficult journey back to full health!

So they have agreed to join us from noon until 6pm in our own Scrapbox Studio to have their picture taken with any and all who wish it for a small fee. These fees will be given in its entirety to 'Scrappin with Cancer'. Neither the 501st, nor The Scrapbox, will be receiving any of the "picture taking funds" collected during this event. All will be forwarded to Brody and to creating his Scrapbooking Kits.
There are many ways you can join in on this very fun event and support us on Sat, Oct 25. Please read on for more info or call us at 613-745-2215. We would be happy to answer your questions.

Thank you!
PS Jenn will be featured on Rogers TV at 11am on Monday make sure to watch it! I know that she will be talking about upcoming classes and the fun raising event with the 501st Legion. I was lucky enough to met some and have my picture taken with the boys! They are a really amazing group! Stephane is planing to join the local Legion and is currently working on finishing his costume!!! He just can't wait!
