My Bad Girls Application

As Katie mentioned on her blog this morning... same here... I was not selected, but really happy of what I have created for this open call. I went out of my box for 1 layout for sure... the one about my emotions of having my sister far away... And my project I am totally happy about it and will probably.... mmmmmm.... ohhhh.... information to follow!!! :)

Enjoy!

3 Manufactures LO:
Papers from Making Memories, Crate paper, Basic Grey, Handmade paper from "Deser" and doily that was glimmer misted. A tones of embellies from Heidi Swapp, K & Co, Prima, Making Memories, MME and so much more!
_________
"WOW" LO:
Played mostly with the Sabrina paper line from Making Memories and wanted on of my signature "big" flowers from Prima and the feather... was just the perfect touch! Self portrait picture of a few summers ago, wearing a short wig and yes fake eye lashes!!
_________
And the one that I really struggle with.. wanted the journaling to do the work, less is more...
Personal LO:

Journaling: If only I could jump on the wings of a butterfly to visit my little sister in Italy (yes I put it in French on the layout!) Follow your heart is what I told her even if it was breaking mine. Not able to see her every day is now the reality. I have to remember all the happy moments and cherish all the ones to come.

*** This one I will redo.... because their so much more I wanted to write... and will just recreate a new one and that will probably help me again in this struggle that I have to have my sister living far away.
________
Project:

Visited one of my favorite Antique store and picked up the 1880’s hinge, doorknob and chandelier crystal. I wanted to represent 3 sides of my scrapbooking… the vintage side, layered and more clean lines… in 1 project! Making this project brought me back to my florist years (5 years in total), playing with the hot glue gun, silk flowers, bird nest… what a great feeling. I always painted (more watercolor) but now I have become a lover of the acrylics. Multi layers of papers are displayed on the top canvas with dry brushing in different tones. When opening the door on the left side I made a little collage to attach on the chicken wire and on the right side wanted to have a clean and simple layout to complete the project. * Project more than 24" high *

And voilà... this was my application!

Yesterday Stephane and I went to Watertown for V-day, had a great day together, love our road trips! Extra bonus, we took the truck, so I didn't have to drive! Ended our day at Apple's Bee and it was so good! Tonight he's preparing a great diner, Fillet Mignon, shrimps, brownies and strawberries! Mmmmmmm
Hugs and have a great week!

Off to create more!

Stephanie, like I said to Katie, you guys are two of the most creative, talented artsy scrappers I've seen. Congrats on trying out, and wow, you've got some GREAT finished LOs to show for it. Lots of personal growth... and whatever your secret is, I'm sure it's good. I can't wait to hear. :)

(((hugs))) Barb

I never stop being impressed with your creativity Bella.

The only thing that could improve those submissions is if those Badgirlz could have seen them in person. Sometimes the pictures don't capture the passsion. Pity. Their loss!

hugs
